The CI 16-60 DSP V2 packs sixteen channels of amplification into a 2U rack chassis, enough to power eight stereo zones from a single unit. Each channel delivers 60 W into 8 ohms with all channels driven, as rated under NAD's Full Disclosure Power standard. Eight stereo RCA inputs with loop-through outputs and a global input distribute the sources.
Its power section relies on NAD's HybridDigital amplification, with a customised Hypex UcD output stage. It keeps distortion and noise floor low into 4 as well as 8 ohms and copes with long cable runs. The sound stays clear at low volume for background music as well as at higher levels.
Channels can be bridged in pairs to give more headroom to the zones that need it, without changing the rest of the installation. NAD's specification sheet lists 140 W per channel in bridged mode into 8 ohms. Limiters together with delay and phase settings protect the loudspeakers.
The Ethernet port opens a web interface with a real-time dashboard and settings for gain, stereo or mono mode and bridging. A 5-band parametric equaliser and high-pass and low-pass filters fine-tune each zone. Crestron, Control4, Elan and RTI systems handle source switching through their drivers.
