Your earphones, untethered

The two ear hooks take earphones with MMCX connectors and set them free of the cable. A Qualcomm QCC5141 chip handles the link, an AK4332 converter the playback. Bluetooth 5.2 accepts up to 96 kHz at 24-bit.

Six codecs

The link accepts SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX Adaptive, LDAC and LHDC, over a range of about ten metres. The hooks pair with two devices at once. A ten-band parametric equaliser is set from the FiiO Control app.

Fifty-five milliwatts

The output delivers 55 milliwatts into 16 ohms and 35 milliwatts into 32 ohms, for a 110 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 0.0018 % distortion. Accepted impedances run from 8 to 100 ohms. Volume adjusts over thirty-two steps.

Contactless charging

The hooks recharge without contact in their case, doing away with pins that could oxidise. The case itself charges over USB or by Qi induction, and holds two full charges on top of the eight hours of listening. It measures 93 x 70 x 36 mm and weighs 145 grams with the hooks, with IPX4 protection.
