Star-Quad with air tubes

The Parsec Speaker descends from the Quadlink and borrows solutions from Cardas's high-end cables. Around a nylon air tube wrapped in antistatic fibres, four 15.5 AWG conductors sit in Star-Quad inside PTFE air tubes, under an FEP tape. Each conductor is made of Grade 1 OFC copper, 99.9999% pure, wound around a braided Kevlar core and assembled as Litz under SPN enamel. The flexible TPR jacket measures 12.7 mm in diameter.

Soldered CGMS spades

On the Parsec, the CGMS spades are soldered to the conductors. Cardas offers CABE banana plugs as an alternative, soldered in the same way.

Four spades for bi-wiring

With its four conductors, the Parsec accepts bi-wiring: two CGMS spades then reach each section of the speaker. Cardas states it is compatible with almost all speakers.

Fitted with CABE bananas, the connection plugs into the terminals with a push. As for the sound, Cardas describes the house midrange, fast bass, rich harmonics and a well-extended top octave.
