Bare OFHC copper

The 101 Speaker combines two bare OFHC copper conductors, each wound around an air-tube core. The strand cross-sections follow golden-ratio proportions and are laid in crossed layers according to Cardas's cross-field geometry. The brand describes a smooth, musical sound that never tires the ear, and calls it its reference for a reasonably priced speaker cable.

2x14 AWG twisted pair

Under the grey jacket, two 14 AWG conductors, one red and one black, are twisted together with a natural cotton filler. A PFA tape binds the assembly before the very flexible TPR outer jacket. The cable measures 9.27 mm in diameter and slips easily behind a piece of furniture.

GRS spades

The GRS spade is one of the two standard terminations of the 101 Speaker. Cardas solders it by hand in Bandon, Oregon. It locks under the nut of the binding post, on the speaker side and on the amplifier side.

CABE banana plugs

As the second option, the CABE banana plug is also hand-soldered in the Bandon workshop. It plugs into the terminal with simple pressure. The 101 Speaker is made in the United States.
