Direct current removed

A DC component on the mains saturates transformer cores and makes them vibrate. The Syncro Uni 16 rebalances the sine wave on the zero-volt line and filters up to 4 volts DC. Mechanical hum drops, and so does the heat dissipated in the transformer.

One outlet, upstream

The unit sits between the wall socket and the rest of the system. It carries a single Schuko outlet: connect either one component or an IsoTek power block, which then distributes the corrected sine wave to all of its outlets. Connection is made with a 16 A IEC C19 cable.

Thirty-six capacitors

The V5 board carries at least thirty-six copper-silver capacitors, that is 169 000 µF, and doubles the copper loading against the industry standard. Internal peak current reaches 32 A and the protection buffer exceeds 500 A. The steel and aluminium chassis measures 150 mm wide, 250 deep and 85 high, for 2 kg.
