Six filtered outlets

The DC Block 6 powers six components from a single wall socket. Each IEC output accepts 8 A, within a limit of 10 A in total. Six C13 to C14 cables and a mains cord are supplied.

DC offset blocking

A DC voltage present on the mains saturates toroidal transformers. Less than 500 mV is enough to cause an audible mechanical hum. The DC Block 6 corrects this offset up to 1.2 V and restores the symmetry of the sine wave.

RFI and EMI filtering

An audio-grade filter circuit handles differential-mode and common-mode noise. The first comes from the switch-mode power supplies of household appliances, the second from phones, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The background noise of the system falls.

Full-width chassis

The 444 mm case matches the width of Audiolab components and fits in the rack. A display shows the voltage measured on the mains. Overload protection steps in if the limit is exceeded.
