Six filtered outlets

The DC Block 6 feeds six components from a single wall socket. Each IEC outlet takes 8 A, within a 10 A total. Six C13 to C14 cables and a power cord are supplied.

How the mains sine wave is corrected

Blocking the DC component

A DC voltage on the mains saturates toroidal transformers. Less than 500 mV is enough to cause audible mechanical vibration. The DC Block 6 corrects that offset up to 1.2 V and restores the symmetry of the sine wave.

RFI and EMI filtering

An audio-class filter circuit treats differential-mode and common-mode noise. The first comes from switch-mode supplies in household appliances, the second from phones, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The system noise floor drops accordingly.

Six IEC outlets on the back of the DC Block 6

Full-width chassis

The 444 mm case matches the width of Audiolab components and sits in the rack. A display shows the measured mains voltage. Overload protection steps in if the limit is exceeded.
