This model replaces the standard 15 A IEC input of the Nautilus with a 20 A IEC inlet, offered as an option by Cardas. It connects with a power cord fitted with a 20 A IEC plug. Next to the inlet, a 4 mm banana socket takes Cardas ground cables, sold separately.
Opened up, the Nautilus shows its six outlets linked point to point by Grade 1 solid copper, 99.9999% pure. Each outlet has its own passive RFI/EMI filter, taken from the most elaborate Cardas power cables.
Behind the input inlet, the ground conductor follows golden-ratio proportions, in a Cross-field geometry under a PFA jacket. 3D-printed guides give every turn the same shape.
A one-kilogram copper ground plate is built into the extruded, resonance-damped aluminium housing, closed by copper-plated brass end caps. Assembly is done by hand in Bandon, Oregon.
