The Riga 2 houses a 17 cm BC17 coaxial driver in a sphere half the size of that of the Baltic, its older sibling. A single driver covers 95 to 20,000 Hz, with an internal crossover at 1,600 Hz. Cabasse calls this principle SCS: treble and mid-bass radiate from the same point across the whole band. Cabasse builds it in its workshops in Brittany.
This version mounts on the wall: the 22 cm sphere gets a bracket that brings the depth to 27 cm, for 6 kg. It is rated at 90 dB for 1 W at 1 m, 8 ohms nominal and 4.1 ohms minimum, for 150 W rated and 1,000 W peak. It serves as a wall satellite in hi-fi as in home cinema. Two matt finishes are available, Perle Noire and Perle Blanche.
