Hybrid Treble, Dome and Ribbon

The OPTICON 6 MK2 pairs the 29 mm soft dome with a 17 x 45 mm ribbon on a cast aluminium faceplate. The ribbon starts to contribute from 10 kHz upwards, just as the dome's response begins to turn directional. Response reaches up to 30 kHz.

Two 6.5-inch bass/mid drivers work in a 1001 mm floorstander, two and a half plus a half ways. The crossover acts at 800, 2200 and 14000 Hz. Response reaches down to 49 Hz at plus or minus 3 dB and bass reflex tuning sits at 43.5 Hz.
