The Master Line Source MKII applies the line source principle, regarded as the ideal transducer. Eight precisely stacked ribbons emit a coherent cylindrical sound wave. Frequencies reach the listener directly, without reflecting off the floor or ceiling.
A dedicated bass tower houses six 22 cm aluminium-cone drivers. This assembly delivers a full sound and reaches down to 18 Hz. Light and rigid, the aluminium ensures a fast, precise impulse response.
The ribbons radiate midrange and treble forward and backward in a dipole pattern. This creates a spatial sound image that fills the room harmoniously. Music gains natural presence and depth.
The cabinet combines a reinforced MDF composite with 10 mm solid aluminium panels to control resonance. Each unit is hand-assembled at PIEGA's headquarters. Weighing 600 kg and standing 178 cm tall, it requires a spacious listening room. Sensitivity 94 dB, impedance 4 ohms, recommended amplification of 20 to 1000 watts, in polished aluminium or anodised black.
