Overview

Source Point Dissemination System

To obtain an accurate and focused sound image, the loudspeakers are ideally aligned, simultaneously arriving at the lauder ears regardless of the position arising. In other words, the speaker system must have a single sound source point.

The newly developed 2-lane flat coaxial speaker, combining medium and tweeter, works with a virtual coaxial woofer, to achieve a point sound source, providing smooth directional characteristics on all frequency ranges, without hollow or tip

Precise phase transducer (2-way flat coaxial speaker)

For faithful reproduction of medium and high frequencies, Technics Developed a whole new 2-way flat coaxial speaker. The medium diaphragm is a sandwich structure, using two high rigidity carbon fiber skins and an aluminum nest dabel core.

It maintains a perfect piston movement on a frequency band greater than the crossover point with the tweeter, while eliminating the frequency distortions caused by "cavity leffet" that Lon found in the traditional diaphragms. The magnetic circuit uses an oversized magnet, a support and a copper ring, a short movable coil with a high density winding, to increase the permissible power and reduce distortion. The speaker chassis is cast aluminum under pressure with a structure conducive to the dispersion of unwanted resonances.

Ultralage band reproduction

Thanks to a graphite / carbon dome tweeter mounted in the center of the flat transducer, the SB-R1 is capable of reproducing the entire frequency band until 100 kHz. And with a low extension that goes down until 20 Hz, it is ready to reproduce the broad frequency spectrum of high resolution music sources.

Cabinet with high rigidity of curved shape

The 50 mm causher baffle used in the cabinet supports the speakers rigidly and removes unwanted resonances. The side walls composed of eight layers of bent MDF give the box a curved shape, promote the removal of unwanted vibrations, and reduce diffraction.

An internal partition divides the housing into upper and lower sections, and eliminates the stationary waves generated in the vertical direction. The quantity and position of the acoustically absorbent material were optimized as a function of the frequency band of each speaker as well as the volume of the cabinet; This foam suppresses unwanted stationary waves inside lebinisterie. The annular seal at the periphery of each loudspeaker is made of a material with high mechanical dabsorption to eliminate any sound other than that produced by the speaker membrane.

The shiny cabinet is obtained by a long series of coating, sanding, polishing and finishing with a high degree of know-how; It complements the sound of quality. The nature of the finish even removes the fine vibrations generated on the surface of the cabinet, the stationary waves, thus contributing to the precision of the sound.

Woofer 16 cm with low distortion and long excursion

Technics Developed a long tour woofer capable of reproducing low frequency sounds with a significantly reduced distortion, providing powerful, dynamic and reactive bass. A symmetrical push-pull device (SST symmetrical, SST) cancels the second order harmonic distortion in the low frequency range.

High Quality Network Circuit

The High-Quality Network Circuit Was Created As A Result of Extensive Designing and Listening, in Order to Maximize The Performance of Each Speaker Unit and Achieve A Balanced Sound. To Prevent Interference Between The Drive Units and Minimizes The Effect of Vibration, Separate Network Boards for Woofer, Mid-Range and Tweeter are Optimally Arrange Inside The Cabinet.
