As a 3-way design, a 152 mm midrange with an aluminium and magnesium cone is dedicated to voices and instruments. It sits on the Shock-Mount isolation system and has a 2 inch multi-layer voice coil. Above it, the 25 mm AL-MAC tweeter takes over at 2.1 kHz, guided by its OSW waveguide and PPA lens.
Three 177 mm woofers with one-piece CARBON-X cones handle everything below 500 Hz. Their ART surround, vertical mounting and Advanced Shock-Mount decoupling keep the bass clean at high levels. The bass extends down to 26 Hz to the DIN standard.
The faceted cabinet is reinforced inside with Cascade-Fusion bracing, which stiffens the walls and breaks up standing waves. The Founder Series is designed, engineered and built near Toronto, Canada. Walnut and Black Walnut have a satin finish, while Midnight Cherry and Piano Black are hand-rubbed high gloss.
The Advanced Shock-Mount feet decouple the cabinet from the floor and adjust from above, with hardware for carpet and for hard floors. The dual binding posts allow bi-wiring or bi-amping, with a recommended amplifier power of 15 to 350 W. The tower is sold individually, stands 106.5 cm tall and weighs 32.7 kg.
