The 25 mm tweeter with an aluminium, magnesium and ceramic dome works with an OSW waveguide that directs the treble towards the listening area. Just below it, a 152 mm ultra-high-excursion AL-MAG mid/bass driver handles voices and instruments. Both carry a perforated PPA lens that aligns the phase of the frequencies.
Two 152 mm woofers with one-piece CARBON-X cones reinforce the bass below 500 Hz, in true 2.5-way fashion. Their ART surround, vertical mounting and Advanced Shock-Mount decoupling keep distortion low at high levels. The bass extends down to 28 Hz to the DIN standard.
The faceted cabinet is reinforced inside with Cascade-Fusion bracing, which stiffens the walls and breaks up standing waves. The Founder Series is designed, engineered and built near Toronto, Canada. Walnut and Black Walnut have a satin finish, while Midnight Cherry and Piano Black are hand-rubbed high gloss.
The Advanced Shock-Mount feet decouple the cabinet from the floor and adjust from above, with hardware for carpet and for hard floors. The dual binding posts allow bi-wiring or bi-amping, with a recommended amplifier power of 15 to 220 W. The tower is sold individually, stands 97.1 cm tall and weighs 23.6 kg.
