The Premier 820F v2 is the largest floorstander in the series: 110.2 cm high, 33.3 cm wide and 47.2 cm deep including grille and feet, and 29.5 kg. Its high-volume bass-reflex cabinet combines four drivers in a 3-way layout. Frequency response runs from 52 Hz to 23 kHz at ±3 dB on axis, and bass extends down to 21 Hz (DIN). It is sold individually, so a stereo pair needs two.
Two 177 mm ultra-high-excursion Carbon-X drivers move the air needed for physical yet controlled bass. Their one-piece cone combines high rigidity and low mass, so bass stays clean at high volume. Gen3 Active Ridge Technology and the Vertical Mounting System control their movement.
The 152 mm AL-MAG midrange, with a PPA lens and a 2-inch multi-layer voice coil, takes over at 450 Hz. From 1.8 kHz, the 25 mm AL-MAC ceramic dome tweeter delivers the treble through an OSW waveguide and a PPA lens. 2nd-order electro-acoustic crossovers keep the three ways seamless.
The adjustable Outrigger Shock-Mount feet isolate the cabinet from the floor for cleaner bass on any surface. Machined spikes for carpet and rubber caps for hard floors are supplied. With a room sensitivity of 93 dB, the 820F v2 works with amplifiers from 15 to 250 W that are compatible with 8 ohms. It is offered in lacquered Piano Black, Black Walnut and Walnut.
