Q Acoustics 5040 floorstanding speaker, with two 125 mm C3 midbass drivers and a sealed 25 mm tweeter. It reaches down to 39 Hz (-6 dB) and stands on spikes, with a rear stabiliser.

The C3 cone combines the bass control of a straight cone with the midrange control of a flared one. Its continuous curved profile gives controlled dispersion and a seamless blend with the tweeter. Large magnets coupled to the voice coils boost dynamics and reduce harmonic distortion. The speaker has two of them, 125 mm each, for a response of 39 Hz to 30 kHz (-6 dB).
The 25 mm tweeter is hermetically closed and mechanically isolated from the baffle. It is affected neither by the internal pressure of the cabinet nor by the movement of the neighbouring midbass driver. Its internal chamber is vented to lower distortion. The crossover passes it the signal from 2.5 kHz.
P2P (Point to Point) braces stiffen the areas of the cabinet that need it and sharpen the stereo image. The baffle is laminated with a layer of butyl rubber and a black acrylic trim that damp vibrations. HPE (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer) tubes release the pressure built up in the cabinet. The internal volume reaches 27 L per speaker.
This floorstanding speaker comes in Satin Black, Satin White, Holme Oak and Santos Rosewood, that is one light and one dark wood finish. The nominal impedance is 6 ohms, with a sensitivity of 91.5 dB. Each speaker measures 967 x 361 x 293 mm, spikes and stabiliser included, and weighs 18.0 kg.
