KEF SQ1 | Speaker stand for Q Concerto Meta, Q3...
KEF SQ1 aluminium floor stand for the Coda W, Q1 Meta, Q3 Meta and Q Concerto Meta speakers. Fillable column, internal cable routing, sold as a pair.
Q Acoustics 5050 floorstanding speaker, with two 150 mm C3 midbass drivers and a sealed 25 mm tweeter. It reaches down to 37 Hz (-6 dB) and stands on spikes, with a rear stabiliser.

The C3 midbass driver uses a cone with a continuous curved profile, with no break between the centre and the edge. It combines the bass control of a straight cone with the midrange control of a flared one. Large magnets coupled to the voice coils tighten the bass and reduce harmonic distortion. The speaker has two of them, 150 mm each, for a response of 37 Hz to 30 kHz (-6 dB).
The 25 mm tweeter is hermetically sealed and suspended away from the baffle. Neither the internal pressure of the cabinet nor the neighbouring midbass driver makes it vibrate. Its chamber is vented to lower distortion. The crossover hands it the signal from 2.7 kHz.
P2P (Point to Point) braces stiffen the areas of the cabinet that need it and tighten the stereo image. The baffle is laminated with a layer of butyl rubber that damps vibrations. On the 5050 alone, an HPE (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer) limits the natural resonance of a tall cabinet. The internal volume reaches 39.7 L per speaker.
This floorstanding speaker comes in Satin Black, Satin White, Holme Oak and Santos Rosewood, that is one light and one dark wood finish. The black baffle and its acrylic trim are the same across all finishes. Each speaker measures 1017 x 366 x 336 mm, spikes and stabiliser included, and weighs 21.6 kg.
