DALI EPIKORE 11 floorstanding speaker in a listening room

Four Eight-Inch Woofers

The EPIKORE 11 lines up four 8-inch drivers below a dedicated 6.5-inch midrange. The crossover is 4.5-way, at 170, 370, 3100 and 12500 Hz: two woofers stop early, two carry a little higher, which spreads the load instead of concentrating it. The cabinet stands 1602 mm and weighs 72 kg.

116 dB of Output

89 dB sensitivity at 4 ohms and power handling up to 1000 W give 116 dB at one metre, the highest in the range. Response reaches down to 29 Hz at plus or minus 3 dB. This is a large-room speaker, not a second-system one.

EVO-K Tweeter Module

The 35 mm soft dome and the 55 x 10 mm planar element share the top of the spectrum, the planar coming in at 12.5 kHz and running to 34 kHz. The same module equips the whole EPIKORE range and the KORE, which keeps one voicing from model to model.

Cabinetmaking and Clearance

Real wood veneer and piano lacquer, assembled by DALI in Denmark, with a structure meant to add nothing to the signal. DALI recommends 35 to 120 cm between the speaker and the rear wall. Four finishes: black, white, walnut and maroon.
