DALI SONIK 7 floorstanding speaker, two 7-inch drivers, a planar magnetostatic tweeter and a 29 mm soft dome. Sold individually, four finishes.

The SONIK 7 adds a 17 x 45 mm planar magnetostatic ribbon to the 29 mm soft dome. The dome works up to 14 kHz and the planar takes over above it, reaching 30 kHz. Splitting the load keeps a single diaphragm from covering the whole top end, and the result keeps its air without turning sibilant.
The two 7-inch Clarity Cone drivers reach down to 36 Hz at plus or minus 3 dB, with bass reflex loading tuned to 39 Hz. The two-and-a-half-way crossover gives the bottom end to both drivers and the midrange to one, which limits interference at ear height. The cabinet stands 1006 mm tall and 200 mm wide.
At 88.5 dB sensitivity and a 6 ohm nominal impedance, the SONIK 7 takes 30 to 180 W and reaches 110 dB at one metre. It therefore holds a large room, in stereo or as the front pair of a home cinema system. Connection stays single wire.
DALI recommends 20 to 100 cm between the speaker and the rear wall, since the port fires backwards. Four finishes share the same cabinet: white, black ash, natural oak and walnut. The grille lifts off magnetically if you would rather see the drivers.
