DALI SONIK 5 floorstanding speaker, two 5.25-inch Clarity Cone drivers and a 29 mm soft dome tweeter. Sold individually, four finishes.

The SONIK 5 stands 826 mm tall and 162 mm wide, so it sits against a wall without taking up walking space. Two 5.25-inch drivers and a 29 mm tweeter cover 39 Hz to 26 kHz at plus or minus 3 dB. In an ordinary living room that is enough to do without a subwoofer.
Both bass-mid drivers use a Clarity Cone mixing paper and wood fibre, stiff without turning brittle. The bass reflex loading is tuned to 43 Hz, which holds the bass without inflating it. Crossing at 2200 Hz hands over to the soft dome well below the region where the ear catches a seam.
At 88 dB for 2.83 V at one metre and a 6 ohm nominal impedance, the SONIK 5 is content with 30 W and takes 150. An entry-level integrated drives it without strain, and so does a home cinema receiver. Maximum output is quoted at 108 dB at one metre.
DALI recommends 15 to 100 cm between the speaker and the rear wall, comfortable latitude in a furnished room. The range shares its voicing with the SONIK 1, SONIK 3 and SONIK CINEMA, so a coherent 5.1 can be built from its siblings. Connection is single wire.
