The 702 S3 is the most complete model of the 700 Series. Three 165 mm Aerofoil bass drivers and a Tweeter-on-Top head give it the foundation and the openness of a higher class.
The 25 mm carbon dome tweeter sits in a solid body placed on top of the cabinet. This mechanical decoupling keeps cabinet vibration away from the dome. The grille is left off so dispersion stays free.
The 150 mm Continuum FST midrange runs without a conventional surround. The Continuum cone controls material break-up and leaves the midrange free of colouration. Voices and instruments keep their timbre.
Three 165 mm Aerofoil bass drivers reach down to 46 Hz. The dimpled Flowport moves air without chuffing, and the braced cabinet keeps the bass tight. Sensitivity 90 dB, recommended amplifier power 30 to 300 W. Three finishes are available: Gloss Black, Satin White and Mocha.
