The Wharfedale DIAMOND 12.Ci is a 2-way sealed-cabinet centre speaker with two 5-inch bass drivers and a 25 mm fabric dome tweeter. It covers 90 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB).
The 25 mm fabric dome tweeter sits between two 5-inch (130 mm) polypropylene bass drivers. The horizontal alignment suits a centre channel. The crossover point is 2.2 kHz.
The cones are made of Klarity, a mica-filled polypropylene that is light and well damped. A low-damping surround supports efficiency, and the aluminium ring on each magnet compensates for changes in inductance. The voice coils rest on an epoxy and fibreglass former.
The 8.7 L sealed cabinet has no port. Response runs from 90 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB), with 80 Hz at -6 dB, and sensitivity reaches 90 dB (2.83 V, 1 m). An amplifier rated 20 to 120 W is suitable, with 8 Ω compatible impedance and a minimum of 4.0 Ω.
It measures 180 mm high, 480 mm wide and 208 mm deep including terminals, and weighs 8.5 kg. The range includes all-black, stone grey and classic walnut with a black baffle. The multilayer sandwich walls limit resonance.
