The Wharfedale HERITAGE CENTRE is a three-way bass-reflex centre speaker with two 6.5 inch Kevlar woofers and a real wood veneer. It covers 54 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB).
The HERITAGE CENTRE lines up two 6.5 inch (165 mm) woofers with black woven Kevlar cones around a 2 inch (50 mm) soft-dome midrange and a 1 inch (25 mm) soft-dome tweeter. The crossover points fall at 900 Hz and 2.7 kHz. The 26.8 L cabinet is a bass-reflex design.
Wharfedale designed this speaker as the centre channel of the Heritage series. Its proportions and real wood veneer match the LINTON and DENTON models. It sits under the screen or on a low cabinet, between two speakers of the series.
Response extends from 54 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB), with bass extension down to 47 Hz (-6 dB). Sensitivity reaches 90 dB (2.83 V, 1 m) and peak level 106 dB. Nominal impedance of 6 Ω (compatible with 8 Ω) drops to a minimum of 4.0 Ω.
Two ports and a pair of binding posts are on the rear. The cabinet measures 55.0 cm wide, 25.0 cm high and 32.0 cm deep, terminals included, and weighs 14.0 kg. The cabinet comes in walnut, mahogany or black oak. You drive the speaker with a 25 to 150 W amplifier.
