The SONIK CINEMA places two 5.25-inch Clarity Cone drivers either side of a 29 mm soft dome. Response reaches down to 46 Hz at plus or minus 3 dB, covering the male voice without calling on a subwoofer. The cabinet is 571 mm wide and 170 mm tall, low enough to sit under a wall-mounted television.
DALI rates this speaker for LCRS duty: left, centre, right or surround. The same model can therefore hold the centre and the side channels of an installation, with one voicing across the front. Its 89.5 dB sensitivity is the highest in the SONIK range.
The two-way crossover sits at 2200 Hz and the speaker takes 25 to 150 W at a 6 ohm nominal impedance. Maximum output is quoted at 109 dB at one metre. Bass reflex tuning is 46 Hz.
DALI recommends 0 to 50 cm between the speaker and the rear wall, which allows a low cabinet or a shelf. Four finishes match the SONIK floorstanders: white, black ash, natural oak and walnut. The grille lifts off magnetically.
