The Uni-Q, with its 19 mm dome and 100 mm midrange, sits at the centre, flanked by two 165 mm hybrid cones. That layout avoids the usual failing of horizontal centre speakers, where a bass driver on each side blurs voices as soon as you move off axis. Crossovers at 560 Hz and 2.7 kHz.
The tweeter radiates as much backwards as forwards. Behind it, a metamaterial disc drilled with channels of differing lengths traps that rear wave and turns it into heat: 99 per cent of the high-frequency energy never returns to the cone. What is left is the signal.
A centre speaker set inside a closed cabinet has its bass coloured by the port. The Q6 works sealed: no port, so nothing blowing against a shelf panel. Bass stops at 52 Hz at minus 6 dB, which leaves the subwoofer its job.
629 mm wide, 210 mm tall and 14.1 kg: the Q6 asks for a wide, solid shelf. It wants 15 to 200 W into 4 ohms. Dialogue stays legible up to 109 dB, which covers a soundtrack without compression.
