The tweeter radiates as much backwards as forwards. Behind it, a Metamaterial disc pierced with channels of differing lengths traps that rear wave and dissipates it as heat: 99% of the high-frequency energy never returns to the cone. What is left is the signal.
Two hybrid aluminium 165 mm cones frame the Uni-Q, one on each side. At the centre, the Uni-Q brings a 125 mm midrange and a 25 mm vented aluminium dome onto the same axis: it behaves as a single point source and spreads the sound more evenly around the room. Crossovers at 500 Hz and 2.4 kHz.
The cabinet is sealed: inside a closed unit, a port blows against a panel and colours the lower midrange. The R6 Meta does without one. Its frequency range covers 55 Hz to 50 kHz at −6 dB, its frequency response is given as 65 Hz - 28 kHz at ±3 dB, and the bass typically reaches down to 40 Hz in the room.
625 mm wide for 17.8 kg: the R6 Meta calls for furniture to match. It stands 200 mm tall and 339 mm deep, terminals included. Its nominal impedance is 4 Ω, 3.2 Ω minimum, and its sensitivity reaches 88 dB (2.83 V / 1 m). Three finishes: gloss black, gloss white, walnut.
