The HTM71 S3 is the senior centre of the 700 Series. It carries the Tweeter-on-Top and holds the hardest-working channel of a home cinema system.
The 25 mm carbon dome tweeter sits in a solid body placed on top of the cabinet. This mechanical decoupling keeps cabinet vibration away from the dome. The grille is left off so dispersion stays free.
The 130 mm Continuum FST midrange runs without a conventional surround. The Continuum cone controls material break-up and leaves the midrange free of colouration. Voices and instruments keep their timbre.
Two 130 mm Aerofoil bass drivers reach down to 50 Hz. The dimpled Flowport moves air without chuffing, and the braced cabinet keeps the bass tight. Sensitivity 89 dB, recommended amplifier power 30 to 200 W. Three finishes are available: Gloss Black, Satin White and Mocha.
