The cabinet carries no port: the internal volume works as a sealed load. Bass therefore starts higher — 65 Hz at -6 dB, 46 Hz in typical room response — but the roll-off stays gradual and the timing of attacks does not drag. Usable bandwidth covers 80 Hz to 35 kHz at plus or minus 3 dB.
The 25 mm aluminium dome occupies the acoustic centre of the 125 mm midrange cone. On a centre channel this point source counts double: dialogue stays anchored to the image whatever the seat. The crossover passes at 450 Hz and 2.1 kHz.
The rear radiation of the tweeter comes back to disturb the midrange — exactly the band where voices sit. The metamaterial placed behind the dome absorbs 99% of it, against about 60% for other approaches. Dialogue gains in intelligibility at high levels.
Two 165 mm aluminium cones frame the Uni-Q across 630 mm of width. The whole holds 113.5 dB of maximum pressure at 4 ohms, 3.2 minimum, with 50 to 300 W of amplification and 86 dB of sensitivity. Its 22.8 kg call for a cabinet that will not flex.
