The MOON 260D brings CD playback, a USB input and an optional 32-bit converter together in one unit. It can also serve as the central converter of the system.

The proprietary transport rests on a four-point gel-based M-Quattro floating suspension. This mounting damps the vibrations that reach the disc platform. The ambience and imaging information engraved on the disc comes through preserved.
The conversion section uses an asynchronous 32-bit converter. It handles PCM files from 16 to 24 bits, at sampling rates from 44.1 to 192 kHz. Intrinsic jitter is measured at one picosecond RMS.
Two digital outputs are offered, S/PDIF and AES/EBU. On the input side, two S/PDIF and one TosLink allow other sources to reach the converter. The unit then serves as the central converter for the installation.
The analogue output delivers 2 volts at 0 dBFS into 75 ohms. Dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio reach 120 dB, channel separation 116 dB. Bandwidth covers 2 Hz to 100 kHz.
