Overview

The T.A.C. K-35 tube amplifier stands for excellent sound and outstanding value for money. It was therefore only a logical consequence to give this device a suitable source. We succeeded in doing so with the T.A.C. C-35. Committed to sound, a CD player was created that meets the highest demands not only from the outside. More than 15 years of experience in developing and producing devices are hidden beneath the aluminium and acrylic dress. As the Tube Amp Company (T.A.C.) stands for the consistent use of tubes in the signal path, tubes were also placed in the C-35's sound paths. A 6N10 drives the headphone output — tube sound here too. The other two 12AX7 are in the signal path and work in the audio output.

A proven Burr-Brown decoder — the PCM1732 — works in the digital section. This circuit, developed for high-end audio applications, works with a sampling rate of 24-bit / 96 kHz, which means HDCD (High Definition Compatible Digital) can be played. Eight-times oversampling rounds off the excellent properties of the decoder. As mentioned, the analogue signals are then passed through and processed by tubes. The result is a very fine high-frequency resolution and very good spatiality.
