The Marantz CD 6007 is a CD player with 192 kHz / 24-bit conversion and HDAM modules. Its front USB port reads FLAC, ALAC and DSD files, and the headphone output has its own volume control.

The CD 6007 plays audio CDs, burned CD-R/RW discs and discs holding MP3 or WMA files, using its JTL-101Y transport. The front USB-A port takes over for music stored on a stick: FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC and DSD, as well as MP3, AAC and WMA. Programme play takes 25 tracks, with repeat and random play.
Digital-to-analogue conversion runs at 192 kHz / 24-bit, using a multi-bit, delta-sigma architecture. Two selectable digital filters change the presentation, and a high-precision system clock times the data stream. On CD, Marantz quotes a 110 dB signal-to-noise ratio, 100 dB of dynamic range and 98 dB of channel separation.
At the back, a pair of gold-plated RCA sockets sends the analogue signal to the amplifier. The optical and coaxial outputs feed an external converter and can be switched off. The D-Bus socket links the player to other Marantz components.
Marantz HDAM and HDAM-SA2 modules handle low-pass filtering and the analogue output buffer. The headphone output runs through an HDAM-SA2 buffer paired with an op-amp, with its own volume control. The casing is 44 cm wide, 34 cm deep and 10.5 cm high and weighs 6.5 kg, with a metal front panel and a reinforcement plate on the chassis.
