The Marantz SACD 10 is a 10 Series SACD and CD player with an in-house SACDM-3 transport and MMM conversion. Its USB DAC reaches DSD 256, with balanced XLR outputs.

The SACD 10 plays SACDs and CDs on a SACDM-3 transport, designed and built by Marantz. On SACD, the response extends from 2 Hz to 50 kHz, with a 118 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 0.0004% harmonic distortion. The unit has two power supplies, each with a toroidal transformer.
Conversion runs through the MMM-Conversion circuit, whose MMM-Stream stage handles dither, noise shaping with four profiles and a choice of two digital filters. A jitter reducer and a dedicated master clock time the SACD, USB-A and USB-B sources. The output stage passes the signal to the new HDAM module.
The USB-A and USB-B inputs accept DSD 256 and PCM 384 kHz / 32-bit, with USB-B running in asynchronous mode behind the Complete Isolation System Duo. Two optical and two coaxial inputs complete the digital connections, with one output of each type. On the analogue side, a balanced XLR output delivers 4.0 Vrms and an RCA output 2.0 Vrms, both at fixed level.
The brushed aluminium front, side panels up to 15.8 mm thick and a 12 mm top cover form a solid casing, set on a triple-layer copper-plated base and aluminium and copper feet. The discrete headphone amplifier delivers 130 mW into 32 ohms, with three gain settings. The player is 44 cm wide, 44.2 cm deep and 19.2 cm high and weighs 33 kg, in Marantz Black or Marantz Champagne.
