Cambridge Audio Alva ST belt-drive turntable, with a pre-fitted MM cartridge and a switchable phono preamp. It also transmits over aptX HD Bluetooth to a speaker or headphones.

The Alva ST spins its 305 mm cast aluminium platter with a belt, with electronic speed control for 33 1/3 and 45 rpm. The platter weighs 645.3 g, and 930.5 g with its 5 mm rubber mat. This mass helps keep the rotation steady, with wow and flutter below 0.12%.
The statically balanced tonearm has an effective length of 221.5 mm, an effective mass of 19.6 g and an overhang of 19 mm. It takes a removable headshell with a pre-fitted moving magnet cartridge, with an elliptical stylus and an alloy tube cantilever. Tracking force is 2 g, and a dial sets the anti-skate.
A switchable phono preamp is built into the turntable, with a gain of 42 dB and an input impedance of 47 kΩ. When on, it delivers a line level, so the Alva ST can plug into an amplifier line input or into active speakers. When off, the RCA output stays at phono level, for an amplifier with a phono input or an external preamp. RIAA accuracy is ±0.3 dB from 30 Hz to 20 kHz, with a signal-to-noise ratio above 90 dB.
The turntable transmits over Bluetooth to a speaker or headphones, with the SBC, aptX and aptX HD codecs. aptX HD handles up to 24 bits and 48 kHz. It runs on a 12 V power supply, drawing 6 W in operation and less than 0.3 W on standby.
