CD-quality lossless Bluetooth

The ZEN Air Blue 2 brings CD-quality Bluetooth to a home hi-fi system or car stereo. Bluetooth 5.4 and the aptX Lossless codec transmit a 44.1 kHz/16-bit signal losslessly, up to 1,200 kbps. High resolution up to 96 kHz remains accessible via LDAC and LHDC.

Three-stage hi-fi architecture

Rather than a single chip, the ZEN Air Blue 2 separates the three tasks like a high-end system. A Qualcomm QCC3095 chipset receives the Bluetooth signal, an ESS Sabre DAC handles conversion, and in-house OV op-amps amplify. A femto-precision GMT clock limits jitter.

Codecs and compatibility

Beyond aptX Lossless, the device supports aptX Classic, Adaptive and HD, LDAC up to 990 kbps, as well as AAC and SBC. This broad compatibility ensures a solid link with most sources, from smartphone to tablet.

An RCA output connects the ZEN Air Blue 2 to an amplifier or active speakers. The power input accepts 5 to 12 V DC, enabling integration into a car or battery-powered setup. In a vehicle, it powers on and off automatically with the engine, and a physical power button maintains control.
