Brushed aluminium front panel

The Z3000 PRO pairs a brushed aluminium alloy front panel with a large LED display, in a housing of 35 x 24.1 x 6 cm weighing 2.9 kg. A hidden NSS bay takes a 3.5-inch SATA hard drive of up to 16 TB, and the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antennas are built into the housing. An internal switching power supply runs directly from the mains.

8K HDR picture and VS10

The Amlogic S928X-K processor with Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 cores works with 8 GB of DDR4 and 64 GB of eMMC storage running Android 11. The main HDMI 2.1a output sends pictures up to 8K at 60 Hz, in 12 bits with the BT.2020 colour space, in HDR10, HLG, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and decodes AV1, VP9, H.265, AVS3 and AVS2. The VS10 engine adjusts to each type of video content, and the frame rate switches automatically, 23.976 Hz included.

Separate dual HDMI outputs

A second HDMI output is reserved for sound: it sends Dolby Atmos unchanged, multichannel PCM and DSD to the AV receiver. The TV or projector thus gets 4K from the main output, without replacing an older receiver. Dolby and DTS formats are also decoded up to Dolby TrueHD Atmos, and sound leaves through USB, optical, coaxial or stereo RCA.

Connections and home automation

The rear panel brings together the mains input, an RS-232 port, an IR input on a 3.5 mm jack, Gigabit Ethernet and two USB 3.0 ports, joined by a USB 2.0 port, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The player is controlled via HDMI CEC, RS-232, Control4, Wake-on-LAN or the Zidoo Controller app, including landscape mode on iPad and Android tablets. BD and UHD Blu-ray menus, Poster Wall 4.0 and lossless playback of DSD, WAV, APE and DTS are supported.
