Compact aluminium format

The Z30 PRO fits into an aluminium alloy housing of 19.7 x 19.7 x 6.5 cm weighing 1.4 kg, with an LED display and two USB ports on the front. Its Amlogic S928X-K processor combines Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 cores with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. With 6 GB of DDR4 and 64 GB of eMMC storage running Android 11, it leaves room for many apps.

8K HDR picture and VS10

The HDMI 2.1a output sends pictures up to 8K at 60 Hz, in 12 bits with the BT.2020 colour space, in HDR10, HLG, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, in LLDV or standard mode. The decoder reads AV1, VP9, H.265, AVS3 and AVS2, and the VS10 engine adjusts to each type of video content. The frame rate switches automatically, 23.976 Hz included, for local playback as well as streaming.

3.5-inch drive bay

The built-in bay takes a 3.5-inch SATA hard drive of up to 16 TB, and an external CD-ROM drive plays original CDs. BD and UHD Blu-ray menus and complex MPLS branching are supported, while Poster Wall 4.0 organises films with trailers. Music Player 8.0 plays DSD (SACD ISO, DSF, DFF), WAV, APE and DTS losslessly, and music can also be streamed over DLNA or TIDAL Connect.

Audio outputs and RS-232

The rear panel brings together coaxial, stereo RCA and optical outputs, the HDMI output, a 9-pin RS-232 port, Gigabit Ethernet, a USB 3.0 port and the 12 V input, and USB also works as a digital audio output. Dolby Atmos passes unchanged over HDMI, and Dolby and DTS formats are decoded up to Dolby TrueHD Atmos. Three high-gain antennas are supplied for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, and the player is controlled via HDMI CEC, Control4, Wake-on-LAN or the Zidoo Controller app.
