A Down-Firing 8-inch Driver

The SUB C-8 D carries a long-stroke 8-inch paper driver firing at the floor. Response covers 33 to 200 Hz at plus or minus 3 dB and maximum output is quoted at 109 dB at one metre. The cabinet measures 335 x 295 x 310 mm and weighs 10.4 kg.

220 Watts in Class D

The built-in amplifier delivers 220 W at peak and 170 W continuous to the IEC standard. Maximum power draw is 250 watts. The bass reflex port is tuned to 49 Hz, which supports the bottom end without dragging.

Crossover Adjustable from 40 to 120 Hz

The low-pass filter adjusts from 40 to 120 Hz, enough to match the subwoofer to speakers of very different sizes. Inputs are low-pass filtered stereo RCA and mono LFE, at a 25 kilohm input impedance.

Floor Placement

DALI recommends placing it on the floor, near a wall or in a corner, which reinforces the bass with no setting to change. The cabinet is not magnetically shielded. Two finishes are available, white and black ash.
