Aurender A1000 music server with analogue outputs. AKM4490 converter in dual mono and a linear power supply in a compact format.

The AKM4490REQ converter runs in dual-mono layout, one circuit per channel. A linear supply with a toroidal transformer sits ahead of it. The analogue outputs are on RCA sockets.
The unit accepts an outside source over RCA coaxial, Toslink optical, USB type B or HDMI audio return. It then becomes the DAC for the rest of the system. The coaxial and USB outputs work the other way, feeding an external converter.
The machined aluminium chassis measures 35.1 cm wide by 9.7 cm high. A 2.5-inch bay takes the library, while a 32 GB eMMC and a 120 GB NVMe share the system and the cache. The colour screen measures 6.9 inches.
The analogue outputs accept PCM streams up to 384 kHz at 32 bits and DSD512 natively. The gigabit Ethernet port links the unit to the home network. A TCXO clock paces the conversion.
