A speaker only sounds as good as its surroundings, and unsuitable furniture can rob it of detail and quality. At 70 cm high, the Tristand places the drivers at the right height and distance from the listener. It thus helps you find the ideal sweet spot.
The base is an equilateral steel triangle with 360 mm sides, standing on three height-adjustable steel spikes. They decouple the speaker from the floor and let you level the stand exactly where it needs to be. Supplied cups slide under the spikes.
The 150 x 142 mm top plate takes adjustable spikes that reduce the contact area with the speaker. Vibration is led through the stand into the floor, for cleaner bass, more detail and a more precise stereo image. If you prefer not to use spikes, the speaker can rest on microporous rubber pads instead.
A reissue of a Pro-Ject classic, the Tristand is built from solid steel and made in Europe. Each stand weighs 5 kg and supports up to 20 kg. It comes in black or white and is sold as a stereo pair, meaning two stands.
