Compact yet powerful bass

The Sub Box 50 E measures 20.5 cm wide, 28 cm high and 20.5 cm deep, and weighs 6 kg. Its 130 mm driver fires downwards from a sealed cabinet. Pro-Ject designed it to fill a living room with dynamic bass despite its small size.

50 W RMS amplification

The built-in amplifier delivers 50 W RMS and 100 W peak. Frequency response runs from 38 Hz to 160 Hz at -3 dB. The signal-to-noise ratio reaches 72 dB and THD+N stays at 0.015% at 1 W.

Low and high level inputs

The metal rear panel groups stereo or mono RCA inputs and stereo or mono high level speaker terminals. The high level input lets you connect it to the output of a power amplifier. The crossover frequency adjusts continuously from 65 to 150 Hz, and a phase inversion switch helps it blend with the speakers.

Automatic standby

In automatic mode, the subwoofer switches on as soon as a signal reaches an input and goes to standby after 10 minutes without signal. It then draws 0.4 W, against 101 W at full power. Its rigid MDF cabinet comes in high gloss black or white.
