305 mm aluminium driver

The Defiance S12 is built around a 305 mm S-PAL driver in satin-anodised pure aluminium, mounted in a stamped steel basket. Developed with Klippel analysis, this high-excursion driver reaches down to 16 Hz (DIN) in a typical listening room. Aluminium combines stiffness, speed and heat dissipation for dense, controlled bass.

800 W Ultra Class-D amplification

The Ultra Class-D amplifier delivers 800 W continuous and 1200 W peak. A high-resolution DSP engine processes the signal at 64 bits. The rear panel groups a backlit level knob, a tone sweep and the choice of power mode: On, 12 V trigger or Auto.

Braced sealed cabinet

The sealed cabinet in 25.4 mm MDF, braced inside, measures 37.7 x 40.2 x 43.24 cm (h x w x d) and weighs 24.27 kg. Its shape echoes Paradigm's Founder and XR series. With no port, it fits into furniture or a recess, and its integrated anti-vibration feet limit transmission to the floor, with carpet spikes included.

Wireless link included

The wireless receiver is built in and the Paradigm transmitter comes with the subwoofer: a pairing button is all it takes to link them. Wired RCA, stereo RCA, XLR LFE and speaker-level connections remain available, along with a Sub Out. The Paradigm Subwoofer Control app for iOS and Android adjusts volume, DSP modes and phase, and ARC Genesis room correction is available separately.
