254 mm aluminium driver

The Defiance S10 relies on a 254 mm S-PAL driver in satin-anodised pure aluminium, mounted in a stamped steel basket. Developed with Klippel analysis, this high-excursion driver reaches down to 18 Hz (DIN) in a typical listening room. Aluminium combines stiffness, speed and heat dissipation for taut bass.

500 W Ultra Class-D amplification

The Ultra Class-D amplifier delivers 500 W continuous and 1000 W peak. A high-resolution DSP engine processes the signal at 64 bits. The rear panel groups a backlit level knob, a tone sweep and the choice of power mode: On, 12 V trigger or Auto.

Wireless link included

The wireless receiver is built into the subwoofer and the Paradigm transmitter comes in the box: a pairing button is all it takes to link them. The S10 also accepts wired RCA, stereo RCA, XLR LFE and speaker-level connections, and offers a Sub Out. The Paradigm Subwoofer Control app for iOS and Android adjusts volume, DSP modes and phase from your seat.

Compact sealed cabinet

The sealed cabinet in 25.4 mm MDF, braced inside, measures 35.11 x 34.2 x 37.79 cm (h x w x d) and weighs 15.72 kg. With no port, it fits into furniture, a shelf or a wall recess. The integrated anti-vibration feet limit transmission to the floor, and carpet spikes are included. ARC Genesis room correction is available separately.
