The larger walnut Classic

The Classic 99 takes the Classic 98 formula into a bigger cabinet: 40 cm wide, 53.4 cm high and 35 cm deep, for 22.4 kg. It is meant for medium to large rooms and larger floorstanding speakers. Walnut veneer covers every face, in a restrained mid-century style.

32 mm cabinet walls

Where it matters most, the cabinet walls reach 32 mm, built from several layers of MDF that damp one another. This rigid, sealed enclosure keeps the bass clean as the volume rises. The Classic 99 is sold individually and can also be used as a stereo pair.

Down-firing 30 cm driver

The long-throw 30 cm driver, with a hand-made paper centre cap, faces the floor. A 500 W Class D amplifier, limited to 450 W, drives it with plenty in reserve. The rear panel has the Speakon high-level input, .1/LFE and low-level RCA inputs, a 0/180° phase switch and the voltage selector. A HT-Air MKII or AirShip II transmitter, sold separately, adds a wireless link.
