Bass down to 29 Hz

The NOVA 10 reaches down to 29 Hz at -6 dB from a compact cabinet. Its 250 mm long-excursion active driver works with a 250 mm ABR auxiliary radiator with an SPL paper cone, which fires downward on a double suspension. With no bass-reflex port, the subwoofer avoids turbulence, chuffing noise and compression. The manufacturer intends it for small to medium rooms.

Compact build

A black grille covers the front face, above a base bearing the brand name. The subwoofer rests on rubber feet, supplied with the power cord and the manual. It measures 363 × 391 × 408 mm (height with base and feet, depth with grille and terminals) and weighs 22.2 kg. Aluminium shorting rings built into the motor limit distortion.

Class-D amplification and DSP

The Class-D amplifier delivers 260 W rated and 500 W peak, a reserve for the transients of music and film alike. The DSP drives a dynamic equaliser that adjusts the response to the listening level. Two modes are built in: Music, faster and better matched to the main speakers, and Cinema, more expansive for film soundtracks. On standby, consumption stays below 0.5 W.

Settings and connections

The crossover frequency is adjustable from 40 to 160 Hz, with phase and level controls. The stereo line input (2 x RCA) accepts LFE on the R channel, and the high-level input uses four 4 mm terminals. A stereo line output (2 x RCA), a 12 V trigger and a USB update port complete the connections.
