Wilson SUB-9: active subwoofer with an 8-inch driver and a built-in 150 W RMS amplifier. It covers 25 to 150 Hz at -3 dB and connects through a stereo Cinch input.

An 8-inch driver and a built-in 150 W RMS amplifier fit into a 305 x 275 x 310 mm cabinet. The stereo Cinch input connects the SUB-9 to a stereo amplifier or an AV receiver. Volume, crossover frequency and phase, from 0 to 180 degrees, are adjusted on the subwoofer.
The 210 mm long-excursion driver is designed and tuned to match the cabinet and the amplifier. Its bandwidth extends from 25 to 150 Hz at -3 dB. The low-pass filter is built in: set the crossover of your amplifier to maximum, then fine-tune the frequency on the subwoofer.
The tunnel bass-reflex system aims for maximum response in the low frequencies. The port opens under the cabinet, which rests on four black feet. The whole weighs 9.2 kg.
The MDF cabinet is designed to limit vibrations and parasitic resonances. The bass stays tight, with no colouration added by the walls. A black grille protects the driver.
