Fifteen centimetres deep

The Lipari 21 measures 39 x 39 cm at the front, is only 15 cm deep and weighs 9 kg. Cabasse made it slimmer and lighter than the Santorin 21, the subwoofer that came with the Eole 3 WS satellites. This flat format slips against a TV cabinet or along a wall.

A 21 cm driver

The 21 cm 21MT3 driver uses a cellulose fibre cone. Built-in digital amplification drives it with 200 W RMS and 400 W peak. The bass gains weight and dynamics, with music as with DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray soundtracks.

Connections and settings

The subwoofer has an RCA low-level input as well as stereo high-level inputs and outputs. The high-level connections link it to the terminals of an amplifier that has no subwoofer output. The Cabasse datasheet gives an adjustable crossover from 50 to 180 Hz and a response of 33 to 160 Hz.

Eole 4 pack subwoofer

Cabasse pairs the Lipari 21 with five Eole 4 satellites in its 5.1 pack, and also intends it for compact stereo speakers. Two finishes are available, black lacquer and white lacquer.
