Arcam Radia series active subwoofer. 250 mm aluminum woofer, 750 W RMS Class D amplifier, variable crossover at 50–150 Hz, frequency response 26 Hz–150 Hz.

The 250 mm (10-inch) composite fiber-wound cone driver is mounted in a cast aluminum basket, a combination that maximizes linear excursion at high levels without motor geometry distortion. The 750 W RMS (1 500 W peak) Class D amplifier gives the woofer the power reserve to cleanly extend down to 26 Hz (±6 dB) — the register of electric bass, organ pedals, and film LFE effects. Even at high levels, bass control remains tight and fast.
The bass-pass filter is continuously adjustable from 50 to 150 Hz with a 24 dB/octave slope, providing enough latitude to optimize integration with bookshelf speakers with high crossover points (R15, R25) or floorstanders that already extend low (R35, R45). The phase control aligns the R25B temporally with the main speakers, eliminating partial cancellations in the transition band. The level control completes the trio of adjustments for a measurement-free setup.
A bass-reflex cabinet rather than a sealed design allows deeper extension while retaining punch. The compact 430 × 437 × 377 mm footprint makes this active 250 mm sub manageable in a living room without visually dominating the space. The cabinet is finished in the same natural black walnut veneer as the rest of the Radia range, ensuring visual consistency in a full Radia system.
The magnetic grille attaches without visible fasteners, continuing the aesthetic lineage of R15, R25, R35, R45, and R35C. The RCA LFE/line input accepts the subwoofer output from an AV processor or integrated amplifier with a sub preamp. A 12 V trigger via 3.5 mm jack enables automatic power-up of the R25B from a compatible AV processor or amplifier, eliminating manual intervention for each listening session.
