The DLA-NZ800BE uses three third-generation 0.69-inch D-ILA devices with a native resolution of 4096 x 2160. Each primary colour has its own device, with no colour wheel and no sequential display. Native contrast reaches 100,000:1, measured without a dynamic iris.
The second-generation 8K/e-shiftX engine takes the displayed image to 8192 x 4320 by shifting pixels optically. Frame Adapt HDR analyses each frame and adjusts the tone curve accordingly. HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG are supported, with 12-bit gamma processing.
The BLU-Escent laser diode delivers 2700 lumens and JVC quotes 20,000 hours in standard mode. Brightness holds over time and no lamp needs replacing. Fan noise is rated at 24 dB and power draw in use at 440 watts.
The all-glass 65 mm lens combines 17 elements in 15 groups, with a motorised 2x zoom and a throw ratio of 1.43 to 2.92:1. It covers diagonals from 60 to 200 inches and stores ten installation presets. Both HDMI inputs accept 48 Gbps, in 8K60p as well as 4K120p, with HDCP 2.3.
