Three D-ILA devices

The DLA-NZ500BE works with three 0.69-inch D-ILA devices, one per primary colour, at a native 4096 x 2160. Native contrast stands at 40,000:1, with no dynamic iris. It is the most compact native 4K projector in the JVC range.

2,000 lumen BLU-Escent laser

The BLU-Escent laser source delivers 2,000 lumens and needs no lamp replacement. Second-generation Frame Adapt HDR deepens the blacks, and a Vivid picture mode joins the existing ones. Power draw is 280 watts.

Rear panel, HDMI inputs and mains socket

Connections and quiet

Two HDMI inputs take the sources, alongside a network socket and the installation controls. Fan noise is rated at 23 decibels, a figure that disappears during a screening. The RM-MH27 remote control is supplied.

80 millimetre lens

The 80 millimetre lens gathers fifteen elements in eleven groups and carries 4K resolution to the edges of the picture. The motorised 1.6x zoom works alongside focus and shift. The chassis measures 450 x 180 x 479 millimetres and weighs 15 kilos.
