Lyngdorf FR-1 two-way wall speaker, sold as a pair. A 6.5-inch driver and an 8-inch passive radiator reach down to 50 Hz in a cabinet only 11.5 cm deep.
The FR-1 is a two-way speaker with a passive radiator, designed for wall mounting, bracket included. Its closed 13.5-litre MDF cabinet is only 11.5 cm deep. The drivers stay as close to the wall as possible, for good coupling with the room. M4 inserts also allow other brackets to be used.
A 6.5-inch driver with an aluminium cone and 35 mm voice coil works with an 8-inch passive radiator. Response extends down to 50 Hz at -3 dB. The FR-1 can therefore do without a subwoofer.
A 1-inch soft textile dome tweeter with PTC protection takes over above 2.2 kHz. The light and stiff aluminium cones have a single well-defined break-up point that is easy to compensate in the crossover. Sensitivity is 89 dB with a 4 ohm impedance. The polyimide-impregnated glass-fibre voice coil, vented magnet and copper cap keep heat build-up and distortion low.
The FR-1 comes in matte black with a black grille and in matte white with a grey grille. Optional grilles in Gabriel fabric, made in Denmark and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, are available. They come in black, grey, petrol blue, dusty green and red.
